I am pleased to be able to organise this exhibition, which is a mini-retrospective of sorts, showing 48 of  Zulkifli Yusoff's paintings and sculptures from 1996 to 2009 to celebrate his 48th birthday. This is his fourth exhibition with my gallery, now at ArtSalon @ SENI in KL. His previous three solo exhibitions were at The Art Gallery, Penang. In the 1990s, he was already one of the most outspoken artist on social consciousness. Zulfifli's recent works are more tightly composed, image-oriented rather than gestural. Over time, he has developed a module of artmaking, which is more intellectual and require more planning and facts.  He has bought several state-of-the-art equipments for use in digital imaging, print or image transfer of iconic images taken from various sources, as well as collage techniques to provide more forceful and dynamic paintings.
